Alright, kiddos! It's time for an activity check! I know we had a rough patch of activity for a while, but the staff team has expanded so we should be good to go. C: This will end on March 15th.
Please reply to this thread so we know that you're active! We won't be deleting inactive accounts, but inactive alphas will lose their position. We'll be sending out an email to the whole site in a few days to make sure everyone knows.

I'm here.
Deleting inactive accounts creates weird threads with guest users - maybe just putting those accounts into an "inactive" group instead might be better?
What will happen to ghost packs?

I'm not deleting any accounts. c:
If an alpha disappears, then their position pretty much just opens up and someone else can claim that land or whatever.

I think this thread might be a good place to discuss activity related issues ... ? I am just a little paranoid of cbox comments being scrolled down and eventually off the cbox.
The cbox discussion about packs and members is a good one. If we wait around for more people to respond, we risk loosing the current player's interest. If we don't wait, we risk them coming back later to "wtf I was inactive but wheres my pack/character/etc!"
If Orbiting does decide to wait - a date should be set.
My personal beliefs are that if a pack has gone inactive because it's members are inactive then well, it's still an inactive pack and the slot should be opened up for the benefit of those who are actually playing.Inactive players usually don't come back - but it does happen and it's worth a try - and when they do come back they are very likely to go inactive again because they have done it before.
Remember that when Orbiting opened, there was a joining rush to claim pack spots? I think this can happen again - if there are empty pack slots, and might possibly bolster it's activity with new players.
I'm a little confused about "reclaiming" an inactive pack land as the new leader. When this happens, is the leader free to do whatever they wish with the pack (essentially, form a "new pack" ), or must they carry on the traditions and customs set by the old leader (basically filling in the old leader) ?

In the email I sent out, I said you need to post here by March 15th. That gives everyone a month to come on here and post in this activity check.
If an entire pack is inactive, then the packland will be entirely cleansed of everything that was in there. We'll move the statistics and ranks and rules and stuff to the archives for safe-keeping, so if someone returns they can get that information again. So, the pack land will pretty much start over, as if it was empty this entire time.
I don't want to allow people to claim lands in their bios... They need to march in to the land like they own the place, and claim it that way. If both alphas are gone, then the territory is "empty." But, if another wolf, a subordinate wolf, lived there, they could step up and claim it, or they could wait for another wolf to claim.
