Bouznica entered the land, cautiously walking around, scenting the area for any immediate dangers. She was new to these lands, and extreamly unsure of them, and for her safety within the lands. She kept her head low, as to show any other wolves in the lands that she did not pose a danger to them. There was no scent of wolves in the area, or any other animals really. She was curious to why it was so emptey, it was a haven to her, beaches, water, sunshine. Though there was sunshine at that moment, winter was setting in quickly, food was harder to find, and the sun was out less and less as each day passed. She howled loudly, in hopes to catch the attention of possibly an Alpha or Alphess to get information about the pack on.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,420,true][bg=121504]OOC: Thought I'd jump in, I miss playing this character Anput's skin crawled, and her body did a little hop in midair, deeply startled by the sound she'd never thought she'd hear again : a howl. She had been living alone on what the lands could provide her, always keeping on the move to have something to do. She toured each territory, claimed or not, along its borders. When this became dull, she did it in reverse, tracing the long invisible lines through the season that was still the monotonous colorlessness of winter. All the traveling kept her sane, each step its own tingling cure of loneliness. Anput believed that all one needed to exist was a purpose; hers was merely to survive.
Destiny had ordained that today she was within proximity of the howl, it's last echoing reaches ticking hear ears. She paused for a moment in thought to consider the consequences, and after careful deliberation, threw her own head back and sang a song in return, 'I'll be there, I'm coming.'
With that, her legs rocketed her body through the thick topsoil of winter, spraying loose snow underfoot behind her. It took her a good run, but at last she reached the origin area of the call. Approaching from the borders in the opposite direction, her eyes took in the form of a silky chocolate wolf. Her own grey muzzle couldn't help but smile, and even her stub of a tail managed to give a feeble wiggle.
When she reached an appropriate talking distance of the other, she stood. "Well now, you certainly don't look like one wishing for death.", she reasoned aloud, her voice smooth and sly but not snark or mocking. "Either you are new and nieve or you are a cocky wolf who thinks all they see is theirs. Why are you here, love?", she questioned, her tone of voice hitting both scales of pleasantness and seriousness.
Anput shifted her weight uneasily, her classic timber wolf pelt anxious for something unseen. She knew the consequences if any Divisia were around, but her heart simply could not let this howl go unanswered.

"I was unaware of the fact that this place was so dangerous" Bouznica said to the other wolf, giving a slight wag of her tail. "Why is that?" she also questioned, hoping to figure out the reasons, maybe she was just in the wrong lands searching for the wrong home. She was quite surprised to find another wolf in the area so quickly, she had only been there less then a half hour and had already gotten a responce howl and a wolf returning to her.
She weirdly felt like an Alpha, having to only howl and then have responce howls very quickly, and having them home to greet her. She liked that feeling, she was smart and mature enough to be an Alphess too if she pleased. Possibly, if here was an open land under the cover of trees, she would claim it. The land she was currently in was just not suitable for a pack land, it was extreamly open and "out there".

Anput was half surprised to receive a response that wasn't aimed at her throat with blood-thirsty teeth. The next order of business was to answer the question posed, but for once, she felt very uncertain as to how to do so. Sorting out her personal distaste for the wolves who did - or possibly didn't anymore - live here, the facts she knew, and the experiences of others and herself was suddenly a very difficult task.
"You must be new, grasshopper." , she tried to joke without sounding too condescending or belittling. Whatever sparks of ferocity that had risen up simply at the mention of Divisia slowly died back down. "Divisia lives here. Or lived. Not sure, their territory lines show of abandonment and they haven't been around. A unfriendly but respectable giant brute of a man is... was... is? alpha of Divisia. He has a daughter who is most unpleasant, a foul temper, and grudges that never end. She longs to bathe in the blood of anyone who says anything that strikes her as displeasing. " |
She paused for a few moments, scrutinizing the surely new wolf who hadn't heard of the most hostile pack around. "There was another female member who lived here for a while and felt abandoned by it. I took her away to Paradise with me.... We were three, but there was no land, so we hid away. Perhaps with Divisia gone there is land again... ", she reasoned with herself aloud in a dreamy tone. "Land doesn't matter for me, all the wolves have gone.", she said abruptly, as if snapping back into the harsh reality that once again she was on her own. She remembered that one could not survive by making enemies with every wolf one encountered. "Have you any needs...?", she inquired, trying to hint at the role she had taken on. She felt badly for being less than friendly to this wolf, but being one who needed to survive, and who hated to apologize, she hoped merely a change to servitude rather than grave warning would suffice. Foxx watched the female contently as she explained the lands past, she moved around uneasily, quite disturbed about the land she was in, it didn't seem to safe. "Yes I am very new, in fact this is my first time in this new place, I have been traveling as a loner since I left my pack" she explained, hoping the wolf would understand, and possibly help her learn about the lands, which places were safe, and which were not.
The wolf that was in front of her seemed about middle-aged, her pelt was grey with black accents, and very scruffy. Though the females coat was in that condition from being hidden so long, she was still in great shape, and pretty acknowledged about the place that they were in, even after being hidden.

She gave a brisk nod of her head in understanding. Everyone had to start somewhere being new. Her mind toyed with the thought of starting up another gang, but having only met one wolf after the long expanse of quietness when everyone seemed gone, the idea felt depressing. She didn't want to start another gang and loose all of her recruits.
"Well then, I'd best be going. I'm Anput, a merchant around these parts. If you need anything: herbs, goods, slaves, pets, whatever; give me a howl and I'll set you up the best I can."
She turned to leave, and trotted away from the female and out of Divisia territory, anxious to be back at home and dip her paws in the warm water spring. It would melt away her anxiety, soothe her nerves, and take out the awful taste in her mouth that always lingered at the mention of Divisia. She hadn't asked the other her name, oh well...
