Appearance: Rust is a heavily built, big male; the ground seems to tremble beneath him, and it appears that if any sense of urgency were to fill him, he'd break. That's not true, and he's actually quite graceful. His sable pelt covers his big-boned frame, a mixture of red and white and gray covering his body. Most of his big body is hair and muscle. He's an attractive male with a fine, long face and deep golden eyes with triangular ears seated neatly on the sides of his head.

Personality: Rust is a big brute. As a puppy, he was often teased about being fat, so he's sensitive about comments about his appearance. He likes to compliment others because of that, and he tries to remain selfless at all times. He's quite relaxed, and it takes a lot to get him worked up. In a hunt, he is the one that makes a short sprint to take down the prey, and he's grown used to this role. In a fight, he will endure, and wait for the other wolf to come close enough so that he can grab them and break them. Patience is a virtue of his, making him an excellent fisher. He likes to watch the clouds roll by and converse with sparrows, a master of idle time.

History: Rust was born into a large pack where several females had their pups all at once. The alphas were outraged by this, but because they were the alpha female's sisters that had their pups, they were spared. With a plethora of pups, the pack hunted constantly, leaving only one tired guard to protect the puppies. It was when Rust and the other pups were finally up and about that a bear came to the den and stole all the pups but Rust, who happened to be sleeping at the back of the den while the rest played. Now an only pup, Rust found himself at the center of attention, and he enjoyed it. He left his pack at two years old, when he promptly found a mate. Shortly before their litter would be born, the female fell ill and passed, leaving Rust listless and sad. Since then, he's been wandering, slowly recovering from his mate's death and feeling that the grim reaper is following him wherever he goes, making him afraid to seek another mate.
