.. I'm a man of wealth and taste.
Guess I should introduce myself, considering I'm the only one on right now and yet I can't stop myself from floating around idly. Not even approved yet and I just made my first table just for you. First table, first wolf role play in years, etc. etc.
This is a pretty momentous occasion, you guys.
So I'm Seba. I'm old. I've been role playing for over twelve years. Twelve.
And now I'm going to continue floating around idly. And potentially make a signature.
I've yet to decide. =3

Pleasure to meet ya' Seba! I do like your signature. You must tell me how to do image maps with UBBC code some time soon. I've been trying to figure it out for a while, but converting HTML to BBC is a pain.
You've been role playing for twelve years!? WOW, You are now officially the most dedicated role player I've met so far.

Haha! I don't know if its dedication or an overabundance of free time. Either way. I'm 23 so it gives me some time to have excess years under my role playing belt when compared to the average rp-bear.
Now that I have my walking stick..
I'd love to show you how. Really it's less about converting HTML and more about converting ideas into the craptastically limiting pseudo-language that is UBBC. I figure it's like an internet-themed version of jury rigging shit to do what I want. I added you to AIM though so we can discuss this or you can PM me sometime. ^_~
Good to meet you, Ly ♥

Oh lawdy, flattery! -heart flutters-
It's good to meet you too, Skye, and I'm usually drawn to new sites just for that reason, heheh.
I do have to admit that I'm a little confused as to how far "semi-realism" gets to take us when it's applied to any plots or sub-plots. I know it's usually just used to avoid crazy wolf-goat-eagle things and the like, but I'm so out of the loop when it comes to these sorts of boards that I don't really understand much else.
How far does the "semi" go in the world around them, and how much fantasy is too much?
.. For my first thread, of course. c___C

Well, in my opinion the word 'semi' continued by 'realistic' has always been realistic. No unnatural colouring, the wolves speak, they fight over territory, they don't have supernatural powers. But the fantasy part has been a slight enhancement in smell, hearing or anything like speed or strength. And during all plots, its basically realistic, theres nothing supernatural about it really. You'd have to ask Tessa, she is the maker of the forum, so theres not much for me to say. [/size]

That pretty much answers my questions. And I'm sure we'll find out if Tessa intends for anything different. xD
Thank you, CASTAWAY. :3
I'll keep my alluding to any mysticism in the world at large on the low. ^_~

But hey - that doesn't mean that we can't get creative, here!
Pets/enslavement, trading routes, gangs, brothels, it's all possible - just without the machine guns : P

*pokes head in*
That table was your FIRST? Jesus. Its really good.
As far as the semi-realism goes, yeah, the realism part is in there to keep away things like super powers/crazy colors/impossible mutations so we don't have a bunch of godmoding sparkledogs running around. But there are a lot of unrealistic things that are allowed, the most obvious being that the wolves can talk and behave somewhat like humans. I'm also prepared to allow stuff like herbal healing. And funny eye colors. Also, we have arctic wolves frolicking in climates that are probably too hot for them, and maned wolves living in the tundra when they're really not built for that kind of cold. Anybody can PM me if they're not sure if something is allowed or not. :3 So, yeah ....and please excuse the wall of text. o:
Ooh, Skye, I like the idea of enslavement. >_> Now I'm wanting to make a slave/master character. xD

-awkwardly accepts compliment- Thank yooou, Tessa. Hopefully it'll get better with time/practice. My graphics requests thread is basically me luring you guys to be my guinea pigs so expect differing styles, lol.
And thanks for clearing that up.
Also -- You should make an Iridiel pack slave. >;3 -shamelessly recruits for Sobriquet-

Actually, this sounds like a thread opportunity! Perhaps my character could catch one of your characters and sell them to Sob?
