why hello there! ♥

hey everyone! my name's Maika and i'm new here. :3 i'm currently and eighteen year old college student and reside in the extremely, beyond boring state of North Carolina with my mom, dad, sister and dog, who's a Boston Terrier x Shih Tzu mix. actually, North Carolina itself isn't that boring, but i live in a small town and there's nothing but fields and cows here. hate ittt. thankfully, i'm only here during the breaks and holidays.

i've been roleplaying for about seven or eight years now. i started out on Neopets, my first roleplay being a wolf roleplay. i had the most generic character ever - a white female wolf with blue eyes with a named Moon. ten points for creativity, right? hahh.

i sort of fell off the roleplaying scene for a good little while because i was completely burnt out on muse. only recently have i started to make this a regular hobby of mine again, but school often times gets in the way. even then, the only thing that i've roleplayed for the past...year(-ish) is stray dogs. although stray dogs and wolves are pretty much the same thing (in a sort of similar but really different kind of way), i joined this site to better my wild canid roleplaying skills, so excuse me if some of my posts sound somewhat...off.

let's see, what else?

uh. i tend to overuse smilies...a LOT, and i also have a bad habit of starting sentences with the conjunctions "and" and "but." i also have this weird habit where i add extra letters to the end of some words for emphasis. xDD OH, and in case you hadn't noticed, i also type in all lowercase letters when i'm not in character. sorry if that bothers anyone! x3

hahaha we started out the exact same way. my first roleplay was also a wolf one on neopets, and my character was a "pure white fae with blue eyes" called Aluna. xD

i know what you mean about falling out of roleplaying. this site is actually my first comeback after a loooong hiatus.

i rarely capitalize out of character either, unless everyone around me is doing it. (peer pressure ;_;)

Pfft, my part of NC is deff not cold. Except for this weird cold snap we've been having. I live in the Piedmont, which is the middle of the state, and we rarely get any snow. D: I like snow.

Ss my first RP was actually a forum that has seemingly died by now. It was called The Meadows, if anyone's heard of it. My character was a chestnut Arabian mare named Sunset's Girl, just call her Sunset. I have since learned that Arabians are typically the most common horses and it is more fun to have a buckskin/palomino/other odd color rather than chestnut.

I've never taken a long break from RPing, but my muse is a very fickle being and can leave at a moment's notice. XD

And as you can see, I capitalize everything. XD I don't mind if other people don't, it's just a personal thing for me. Although use words wrong (ex. your and you're) and you shall be under the wrath of the grammer nazi's daughter. XD (yush, my dad is the grammar nazi, and also the chair nazi at my church. My family calls him OCD behind his back. X3)

Okay, so the main reason I posted was to say that NC wasn't cold. Or, at least my part. And now I have this whole long post babbling on and on about me. XD

@ Free - ANOTHER NORTH CAROLINIAN?! /spazz attack. I forget which region is called the Piedmont, but i'm technically in the Foothills. you're right, NC's not really all that cold. it's a little windy in my area during the winter, fall and early spring, but other than that it's quite comfortable. :3

i've always wanted to do a horse roleplay, but i know absolutely nothing about horses. at all. D: you should teach me one day. ~

Yush. Another North Carolinian. And you're the first I've met, and the closest before was a SC person. So if you study NC, they split it into three regions. They are the Mountains, the Piedmont, and the Coastal Plains. I'd guess you are in the Mountain region. C:
